The Lucid Dreamteam

What's this? What's this? There's powder everywhere!
The Lucid Dream Studio is a group of misfits and madmen, studying Game Design at Gotland University, Sweden. We bash our half-crazed heads together all night long in order to produce games that are fun, innovative, a bit odd and most of all; unlike anything else.
The Lucid Dream Philosophy
There are many rules and guidelines when creating, and this leads to a market where most creations looks very much the same. It’s comfortable to take the easy way out and create something the audience is certain to appreciate and pay for. But that’s not what we want to do. Instead we strive to go around the rules and see what happens when you create a game that isn’t exactly what you would expect a game to be. Only then, we think, can you come up with a design that is truly original and clever.
These are noble goals indeed, but then again, they are just that. If we actually succeeds with this is up to our audience, and that means You.
The three Rules
Here follows our secret recipe of success. It’s summarized in three simple rules, and we try and follow them as much as possible. Which sometimes leads to trouble...
|
#1. Always deliver
|
This rule is about being on time, but also about always performing at your very top level and never producing something you are not completely satisfied with.
|
#2. Always say "yes"
|
Can you get this done by Friday? Yes! Today is Friday, are you done? Yes! We need someone to do this, can you do it? Yes! Big party tonight, you coming? YES!
|
#3. Be successful, goddammit!
|
Last but not least:
Success isn’t something that happens to you, it’s something you do.
